ABSTRACT

For an infertile woman learning about her pregnancy with twins or multiple babies is a happy and exciting surprise. When asked about their thoughts on breastfeeding of the babies; these positive emotions turn into feelings of inadequacy, fear and anxiety. Health care professionals play crucial roles in this subject. Basic knowledge and counselling skills, assisting in the solution of nutrition problems, challenging nutrition problems and identifying risky situations, ability to take the necessary measures are vitally important for health care professionals. This article describes common problems and approaches with breastfeeding, the benefits of breastfeeding, breastfeeding technique and positions, and transferred information about breast milk storage guidelines, and emphasizes the importance of health personnel on this topic.
